Ammonium bifluoride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NH4HF2. It is a white crystalline solid that is highly soluble in water and commonly used in the glass etching and cleaning industry. Ammonium bifluoride is also used in the production of aluminium, as a preservative for wood, and as a component in some rust removers. It has a range of applications in the ceramic industry as well, including as a glaze and as a flux for enamels.
